Hollis Town Band Coronavirus Statement, 12 December 2020

After careful consideration, and in accordance with the New Hampshire Safer at Home COVID-19 guidance, the Hollis Town Band board regrets to announce that all rehearsals and performances will continue to be suspended until a date yet to be determined, hopefully in 2021.  The HTB board will continue to reassess the situation via online meetings through the coming months.

We care about the health of our audience and band members. There is no way we can safely rehearse and perform together as a whole band at this time.  Currently the governor of New Hampshire has declared that bands cannot perform indoors in public and there has been at least one fine levied against an institution for allowing two performers at the same time who were not related.  Single performers are allowed but not larger groups of musicians unless they are members of the same family.

At this time, however, there is light at the end of the tunnel!  Increasing availability of COVID-19 vaccines and nice weather will make gatherings possible again, both indoors and outdoors.  The board will re-evaluate the situation as conditions evolve.  Hang in there and stay safe!

As you know, our non-profit organization depends on ticket sales and performance fees to keep afloat.  If you’re wondering how you can help while we’re unable to gather together, please consider making a tax-deductible donation in any amount to the band: Hollis Town Band, PO Box 481, Hollis, NH, 03049.
